Term Limits

We need to address term limits immediately, and it will be one of the first bills I work to put on the floor for a vote. As everyone can see, we have people who are 80-90 years old who don't know what they are voting for. There are senators and congresspeople who have been here for decades. They are out of touch, only vote party line, and don't have the best interests of the American people at heart. The congresspeople should not serve more than 10 years, and the senators should not serve more than 2 terms, which is 12 years.

Fix the Economy

We have 34 trillion dollars in national debt. We need to address this immediately. Congress needs to pass a balanced budget that the Senate and the President can sign. No more continuing resolutions.

Freedom to Choose Electric or Gas Vehicles

The majority of the electric vehicles have a very limited range and are not practical for most people. Let the consumer decide what works for them and what they want to buy. Don't force them to buy something that they can't afford and don't want.

At one time, we were the world's largest exporter of oil. Gasoline prices at the pump were at their very lowest because of this. Now, we are at the mercy of foreign countries that do not have our best interests at heart. We need to reverse this and get back to being the leading exporter of oil again. Lower fuel costs are one of the biggest drivers in lowering prices of goods and services. This is common sense.

Immigration

This country was founded by immigrants, and we need to allow people to come into our country legally by following the proper procedures. We have a border crisis that needs to be addressed immediately. We cannot have people walking across our border into our country. This doesn't happen in any other country in the world. Even friendly countries like Canada won't let certain people into their country, and when they do let people in, they want to know when you are leaving. I have a friend who came to America from England, and it took him 20 years to become a citizen. He is now a proud American citizen. Why should a person who follows all the rules be put behind someone who just walks across our border? This doesn't make sense.

Coming Together and Looking for Answers to Solve Our Problems

I have a lot of ideas that I would like to bring to the table to solve some of our problems, and I am willing to look for answers from the other side of the aisle. If it's good for America, it's good for all of us. We need to stop pitting Democrats against Republicans and remember that we are all Americans, and we must do what's right for our country, or we won't have a country. I want to solve local problems and national problems. This cannot be done by someone who has been in Washington for over 16 years and hasn't solved any problems. It's time for a change. It's time for new thinking. It's time for kindness. It's time to have a sense of urgency, not voting for your party, voting for what is best for America.
